The Honourable David Collier AM

The Honourable David Collier AM was a foundation member of the floor. From 1962 at age 17, he began working his through the legal fraternity. He became a solicitor in 1967, working in advocacy and court work litigation, before being admitted to the Bar in 1981. He was a member of Lachlan Macquarie Chambers until 1999, when appointed to the bench at the Parramatta Family Court. The Hon Justice David Collier retired as a Judge of the Family Court on 23 July 2013. After his retirement he went on the lecture as an adjunct professor at the University of Western Sydney’s Parramatta Campus. In 2014 he was inducted into the general division of the Order of Australia for significant service to the judiciary, to the law and to legal education.
